Beth Hardiman, MD

I completed my residency in 1992, where I received training in singleton breech birth and breech extraction of the second twin. Since then, l have continued to attend breech births throughout my career. While it is difficult to estimate exact numbers, I have likely managed several hundred singleton breech births, as well as a similar number in twin gestations.

My experience includes attending twin breech births and successfully supporting vaginal breech births after cesarean (VBAC). I have not adhered to a single preferred birthing position; approximately 60% of the births I have attended have been in the supine position and 40% in upright positions.

In addition to my clinical experience, I completed Breech Without Borders (BWB) training in Philadelphia in April 2025 and participated in a breech workshop at a midwifery conference in Maine in 2018.
