Twin Training

We are now offering hands-on twin training with selected instructors! Twin birth is a rare but high-stakes skill and this training gives experienced breech providers a place to practice it safely, hands-on, before they need it in real life.

The training day goes from 9 am – 5 pm with a 1 hour break for lunch and is limited to 16 students. Over half the training day is hands-on simulation training, interspersed with video analysis, Q&A, discussion, and presentations on topics such as delivery intervals and intrapartum management.

Participants will practice the following hands-on skills on our Sophie and Her Mum simulator:

  • Internal podalic version

  • Breech extraction

  • Recognizing and resolving interlocked twins

  • Supine breech maneuvers, including arm sweeps, Bracht, MSV, and Løvset

The twin training will also include optional online courses with more twin-focused content to be added later on:

  • Dr. Stuart Fischbein's "Attending Twin Labors At Home" (76 minutes) 

  • Dr. Firas Cha'ban's overview of twins: causes, risks, pathologies, diagnosis, & prevention (to be added late fall 2026)

Prerequisites: Active enrollment in Breech Pro Plus, and a BWB breech training completed within the past year.

FAQs

I already took a breech training. Can I come just for twin training?
Yes! If you have done a BWB breech training within the past year, you can come for just the twin training day. You must also have a current enrollment in Breech Pro Plus.

What if I had a Breech Pro 2.0 enrollment?
Since the Twin Training requires an in-person BWB breech training completed within the past year of the twin training date, an expired Breech Pro 2.0 enrollment on its own won't meet that requirement, as it was replaced by Breech Pro Plus in 2025. The good news is: if you join us for a current breech training, Breech Pro Plus enrollment is included — so you'll meet both prerequisites at once and be ready for the twin training.

Can I come to this training if I haven't done a hands-on breech training with BWB before?
No, you must have done breech training first, or be enrolled in the 2-day breech and twin package. The Twin Training is designed as a next step after our breech training — it assumes you already have that hands-on foundation. Most of our Twin Trainings are coupled with a Breech Training just a day or so prior to ensure you can meet the pre-requisites.

Do you offer continuing education credits?
Not yet, but we are in the process of applying! In the meantime, you can still earn continuing education credit hours from your Breech Pro Plus enrollment.
