Raffaela Baiocchi, MD

Raffaela Baiocchi is a Medical Doctor. She has obtained a specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a PhD in Epidemiology and Sociology in Health Inequities, both at Polytechnic University of Marche, Ancona, Italy.

Since 2007, she has been working both in public hospitals in Italy and at the EMERGENCY ONG ONLUS Maternity Hospital in Panjsher, Afghanistan, where more than 6,000 deliveries per year are assisted.

Based in Italy, she currently works in the Medical Division of EMERGENCY ONG ONLUS as OB&GYN Focal Point: she coordinates the activities related to all the services in Reproductive and Sexual Health that the organization provides in its projects in Afghanistan and Sudan.
